Long and Long Team
7km trail run, followed by 20km ride on a combination of downhill track and forest trail, and then a quick 2km run. Transition area is undercover, course is well marked this year. This is a reasonably tough event, with medium cycling skills necessary. You can do it as a team, with one competitor riding the other running.
Short
Tasty 3km run, followed by a 10km ride, and then a nice scenic 2km run. Some bike skills are necessary; you should have least ridden some trail before. No teams for this one.
Long and Short
Online registration is available, start time is 2pm, 2.30pm for the short, arrival time is 1.30pm cost is unbelievable $30 for long and $25 for short, which includes MTBA insurance. Club members and those with this insurance get a $5 discount. Teams pay $50 per team with those discounts available to qualified competitors.
Childrens
Approx 750m run, followed by about a 1.5km ride, and then a 500 meter run to finish. We may, depending on numbers have a split start with older children going first. Plenty of prizes. Cost is $10 which includes compulsory insurance. Bikes should be capable of off road riding - BMX bikes are fine. No technical sections. You need to check in at 12.30pm at the latest for a 1pm start.
